Let me introduce you to my Uncle Jr. Here lately, all he can get is breaks. Literally. And not in a good way. Within the last few months, he broke his femur and had a reconstructive surgery. Shortly after, his intestine would not cooperate, providing him with a lovely colostomy sack on his side. Two of his daughters and wife thought it might be time to take a trip to Myrtle Beach to make more memories. Two days into their little getaway, while walking, he tripped over a curb, and gravity got the best of him. He broke his nose and both arms.
We are just trying to get him home and into rehab. If you knew my uncle, you'd appreciate his humor as I'm trying to be somewhat lighthearted in a very serious situation. He cannot fly due to his current medical conditions, so the only way to get him home is a 12-hour commute. He's got a long haul to recovery and your support and help would be a blessing. They have exhausted all funds. He is not normally one to ask for help; actually, that's what got him into this situation, and he has no idea that I am creating this. He's a modest man that served his life helping others; maybe you could be the one to help him. I thank you kindly.
Update*** He is being discharged today. They will try and make the commute home weather permitting. Once they arrive in their hometown he will be readmitted to the hospital there. Following he will be sent to a rehab center to finish out his care. I cannot thank you enough for the love and support that you have given him and his family.
