On Thursday, May 15th, my mom received one of those calls that no little sister wants to receive, from an Oregon State Trooper. She got the call that my uncle had been involved in a fatal car accident involving him and his sweet baby dogs. His babies survived and were placed in the care of a dog rescue that he not only adopted his baby Andy from but also volunteered his time at. Because that's the kind of person my Uncle Joe was. He was a light to everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him. He was a kind, loving man who adored his two kitties and his two pups, his fur babies ❤️. He loved plants and the beach. Collecting sea glass, rocks, and driftwood was his favorite. He made a beautiful life for himself on the coast and chose to heal and love himself as deeply and as bravely as any person could. He left behind sunshine with every interaction, whether it be human or animal.
During this very difficult time, we are hoping to raise funds to have him cremated as this was a tragic accident and very unexpected. We plan to cremate him and then have some ashes blown into glass for my mom to keep a piece of her big brother with her and then we will be taking him to his favorite beach one last time where he will rest.
We have adopted all 4 of his fur babies but this expense is unexpected and it would be a blessing to help take some of the financial burden off of my mom, his sole next of kin. Any donation is appreciated beyond words. Thank you for your consideration and support.
God bless!! Rest easy, Uncle Joe. We will take the BEST care of your babies in honor of you!
