Dear ʻohana & friends,

If you’ve met our dad, affectionately known as Uncle Bobs to everyone, you already know: he’s the kind of man who makes everyone feel like family.

A man of God, a devoted father and grandfather, and a source of light in every room, he is never angry, always smiling, always singing and playing his ukulele, and always finding ways to make others laugh. He’s spent his life showing up for others with humility, joy, and kindness, never asking for anything in return. That is who he is.

In 2024, our beloved dad was diagnosed with Cutaneous T-Cell Lymphoma, a rare and aggressive cancer. With strength, faith, and his ever-present sense of humor, he began treatment and faced it with courage and mostly in silence.

But as of August 2025, he experienced a relapse, and chemotherapy is no longer responding. The cancer has returned in an aggressive form. Our dad is in the battle for his life. Over the course of the next few months, he will be in and out of treatments.

So now, we are reaching out with love and aloha to ask for support — and above all, your prayers — for our dad, Robert Gomabon Sr. All donations will help ease the medical financial burden that encompasses this next chapter on our family so that Uncle Bobs can focus fully on his fight and healing.
