Aloha. During the recent Kona Low storms on the North Shore of Oahu, I lost everything at my home in Waialuku Farms, Waialua. My neighbors and I had worked lovingly to build a sanctuary in nature and all was destroyed as the water levels rose on March 19th and 20th. My house flooded to the roof and my truck was completely submerged underwater. I used a paddle board to assess damages on my property immediately after the storm and am looking for support to rebuild on higher ground in the community I love.
I've been a preschool teacher for years in Haleiwa and I also teach music to our local keiki. It's my passion to nurture young kids as they grow into creative, inquisitive, kind people.
I am raising funds to be spent on:
- purchasing a generator and solar pack
- cleaning and building supplies
- a used vehicle to transport supplies to and from the property
- daily living expenses
