Support UNCF

Hi,

My name is Coleman Hughes, I’m a writer and the host of Conversations with Coleman.

As you know, we are living through a time in which great attention is being paid to the related issues of race, racism, and racial inequality. This GoFundMe page has stemmed from my open letter to Ibram X. Kendi, in which I am extending an invitation for him to have an open and honest conversation with me, on these race related issues, on my podcast. You can read the letter via https://letter.wiki

To ensure that some good comes of our conversation – I have set up this GoFundMe page, where all the proceeds raised will go to the United Negro College Fund (UNCF), which funds scholarships for black students.

If you are able to donate, know that you will be helping shape the future of many black students in America.

More information about United Negro College Fund: Since UNCF was founded in 1944, opportunities for African American and other minority youths have increased dramatically. But the national need for minority education has proven as timeless as UNCF's motto, "A mind is a terrible thing to waste" Far too many African American and other minority students still lack the financial and other support or the rigorous pre-college education they need to gain admission to and succeed in college. It is to the success, in school and beyond, of these young men and women that UNCF is dedicated, as much today as it was when it was founded.

Thank you,

Coleman
