Hello, everyone! We are UMD Anokha, the top South Asian fusion A Cappella team at the University of Maryland. We are thrilled to announce this 2025 season, we have been invited to compete at All American Awaaz in San Francisco, CA! We competed at two bid competitions, Buckeye Laya and Awaazein, under the Association of South Asian A Cappella in Columbus, Ohio and Dallas, Texas and won first place at both competitions! On April 5th, we traveled to San Francisco to compete at the national competition, All American Awaaz 2025! We are so excited to announce that for the first time in Anokha history, we placed 2nd at A3! We are so grateful to have had this opportunity and are even more grateful for your support.
However, participating in these competitions requires substantial expenses, such as registration fees, transportation costs, and lodging. As college students, we find these costs to be quite daunting. Therefore, we are reaching out to our community for support! Any donations received will be used to cover these expenses and ensure that we can attend competitions without any financial issues.
