Support Animals of Ukraine
Donation protected
Meet Elina and Anton; two of many Ukranian refugees who, due to the war now call Australia home. They fled Ukraine in July 2022 when the threat of Russian forces became too dangerous and relocated to Australia in order to ensure the safety of their young family.
Elina and Anton left behind many friends, family and a successful Veterinary business 'CentrVet' that they spent 11 years building and operating. Despite being in the middle of a war-zone, the amazing CentrVet team continue to provide care to the animals of Kharkiv and surrounding cities despite the dangers they face every day due to active shelling from Russian forces.
Despite both now working full-time at WellPet Vets in Western Sydney, Elina and Anton are also still running CentrVet remotely from Australia, and doing what they can to ensure the clinic remains open to treat animals of Ukraine who are needing urgent Veterinary care.
CentrVet is treating hundreds of animals each week who desperately need your help. These animals have experienced extensive trauma, have painful wounds due to shelling and rockets, broken bones and other various injuries as a direct result of the war. CentrVet is also treating many other patients suffering from various illnesses, have ongoing medical conditions or who require general veterinary care just as any pet does. Much of this work is done pro-bono by CentrVet as owners often cannot afford treatment as a result of the community having no or minimal income due to the war decimating their economy.
This is where you come in- CentrVet needs YOUR help! While Elina and Anton have made their services as affordable as possible for animals to gain the care they need, they still need funds to purchase veterinary supplies, pay their amazing staff who are risking their lives everyday for these animals, and ensure they can purchase batteries and generators in order to operate when the power is turned off (they are often forced to perform surgical procedures under torchlight).
Along with WellPet Vets Animal Hospitals in Western Sydney running a donation drive on the ground, it is our hope that $10,000 can be raised (with all proceeds going directly to CentrVet) in order for these animals to continue to receive the lifesaving treatment they so urgently need.
Please dig deep, please put yourself in their shoes, and please show your support- no matter how small, every dollar helps!
