Help my team pay for our travel to support to the Patron Pet Center and the Superhumans Center to develop a service dog program for civilians and veterans suffering from Traumatic Stress invisible wounds that continue long after the battlefield and daily life in Ukraine.
This program is modeled on a successful initiative developed in the U.S. with purpose bred canines. This new program will use dogs that have been rendered homeless by war. The dogs are socialized and now need training to complete the goal to providing service dogs to their veterans.
Many Ukrainians, civilians and veterans, are living with visible and invisible scars. While physical wounds are being treated, the psychological trauma of war—including PTSD and TBI—remains a critical public health challenge.
