Support Ukrainian Relief

Hi - My name is Sean Kennedy. I am writing from Przemysl, Poland on the Ukrainian border. I am here doing relief work as a volunteer with World Central Kitchen. While there are many groups feeding Ukrainians here, after a week of working on the ground, I can report that our team of celebrity chefs is turning out the tastiest food on the border. One Ukrainian woman said our borscht (local beet soup) was the best she ever had. That is saying a lot!

I have been to Ukraine many times over the last 20 years. Ukrainian people are dear to my heart. I think after watching the country and its people's heroic struggle for the last several weeks, you can understand why.

 

I am currently on the border of Ukraine, in Poland, volunteering with World Central Kitchen. We are cooking and distributing over 10,000 hot meals a day to Ukrainians who have been forced to flee their homes by Putin's immoral war. Most of the World Central Kitchen work is being done by volunteers that have traveled here at their own expense.

 

Due to the influx of refugees, world media descending on the border, and relief workers coming to help, housing is scarce, and prices are very high. The price gouging is to the point where some of my fellow volunteers have to return to their home countries for lack of funds.
