Ujima Story

For over 13 years, the Ujima Naturals Limited Group — a dedicated collective of organic farmers in St. Thomas, Jamaica — has been working together to grow fresh, organic produce and create high-quality value-added products. Through unity, resilience, and a deep commitment to the land and our community, we’ve grown from small farm plots into a nationally recognized movement for organic living.

One of our proudest achievements is founding the Ujima Natural Farmers Market, held at the historic Hope Gardens in Kingston. This market has become a vital space for organic farmers, wellness practitioners, and conscious consumers to connect and thrive.

Now, we need your help to take the next bold step in our journey.

We are launching this GoFundMe campaign to raise funds for the development of six (6) off-grid postharvest facilities and the renovation of our central postharvest and distribution hub in St. Thomas, Jamaica. These facilities are critical to improving our food safety, extending the shelf life of our produce, reducing postharvest losses, and scaling up our capacity to serve more families with clean, local, and nutritious food.

These facilities will also operate sustainably — completely off-grid — as part of our mission to live in harmony with nature while empowering rural communities.
