Aloha, O U’ilani ko’u inoa. Many are unaware of what has transpired medically, emotionally and physically for me since November 2025. I had an infection that started in my foot and didn't respond to antibiotics. We were totally putting all of our faith in the Lord to heal me, however the infection began to spread quickly and 4 surgeries followed. Ultimately the last surgery removed my right foot half way up my shin. I was the primary wage earner and we are currently trying to survive on Kaleo's current small wages. We have applied for many resources but have no idea if or when we will qualify, we just need help to get through this initial 5-6 months as I do physical therapy to learn how to navigate and do life without my leg. I am currently 100% dependant on assistance day and night and worrying about finances increases my anxiety tremendously and creates frustration on a daily basis. Our frequent trips to Hilo for physical therapy as well as doctor appts has put a huge financial strain on us and extended ohana is trying to help us when they can. Your kind donations will not only be helping our personal needs but mostly with my medical expenses.
