The significance is that we literally grow 10 times more crops for livestock than what people eat! Massive amounts of crops are grown in Third World countries to feed livestock! Most of the meat and grain produced there are shipped to the affluent nations of the world, while Indigenous people starve to death! Up to 60 million people a year in the world die from starvation or diseases related to malnutrition, and most of them are children!

2/3 of all agricultural water is used for feed crops or livestock production. Animal agriculture is the #1 cause of drought and famine in Africa!
