Support UGA Student Film: "Hamartia", a Modern Greek Tragedy
Donation protected
Hey! My name is Sanaa Wright and I'm a 3rd-year Entertainment & Media Studies major at the University of Georgia working on my 2nd short film, "Hamartia". It is the story of a group of friends who, after attempting the Ancient Greek practice of Bacchanalia, realize their friend has gone missing. They must piece together their fractured memories to search for him, confronting the chilling possibility that they are responsible for something far worse than they remember and uncovering dark truths that threaten their fragile bonds. This gripping 15-minute drama/thriller will use themes of Greek tragedy set in a modern world, and explore the idea of "the fatal flaw", the innate force within us all that drives us to self-destruction. "Hamartia" is a passion project I have been wanting to do for over a year and I can't wait to bring this narrative to life. By donating to this campaign, you are assisting in a collaborative effort between almost 30 students who are using our talents to develop professional skills and advance our careers— these funds will allow us to increase the scope of what we can achieve. Principle Photography will take place in November. Thank you!
