Hailing from the hills of Westwood, the students of the Ray Bolger Musical Theater Program of UCLA's School of Theater, Film and Television need your support!
In our current cultural and political landscape, art is more important than ever. It is a tool for unity and peace, and is vital to the human experience; however, practicing art has become an increasingly difficult task. As students from one of the nation's top public universities, we are left to fund our own artistic endeavors with no internal monetary support. We have big dreams, artistically and academically! From producing cabarets and musicals and performing publicly in the Los Angeles community, to hosting events that enrich artistic spaces and, most importantly (and expensively), organizing and producing a showcase to help cultivate our artistic careers.
This is where you come in!
In the remaining time we have here at UCLA, we are asking for your help to make these endeavors a reality. Your support will allow us to create meaningful art, share our voices with the community, and continue developing the skills that will carry us into our professional lives. Any contribution truly makes a difference and helps us keep telling stories, uplifting audiences, and growing as artists.
Where exactly will your donations go? Your donations will be used to supplement the costs of venue rentals, licensing rights, hiring guest artists (ie, pianists and accompanists), and other group expenses (travel costs, etc.).
Thank you for believing in us and in the power of the arts. The future generation of artists thanks you!
Sincerely,
The Students of UCLA's Musical Theater Class of 2028
