Help Bring The Pliant Girls to Life at UCLA!
Hi everyone! We’re Shakespeare Company at UCLA, a student-run theater company at UCLA, and we are hoping to raise $500 to bring our latest production — The Pliant Girls by Meghan Brown — to the stage!
Directed by UCLA’s own Mia Perez, The Pliant Girls is a sharp, witty, and powerful modern retelling of a Greek classic, reimagined through the voices of strong, complex female characters. It’s a story about power, identity, and the courage to speak up — themes that resonate deeply with our generation.
Every aspect of this production — from acting and direction to set design, costumes, and lighting — is being created by dedicated UCLA students passionate about telling stories that matter. We can’t do it without your help!
Your donation will go directly toward costume and set materials, lighting and sound equipment, and venue costs. Even a small contribution makes a huge difference in helping us share this story and uplift new voices in theater. Please join us in supporting student artists and helping us make The Pliant Girls a reality at UCLA!
— With gratitude,
The Bruin Bard Theater Company
