Support UCLA Community School Workers During the 2026 LAUSD Strike
Welcome to the official UCLA Community School Strike Fund.
We are raising funds to provide direct financial support to the hardworking school employees at UCLA Community School who may be impacted by the upcoming LAUSD strike.
We are proud educators at UCLA Community School, located in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles, and members of United Teachers Los Angeles (UTLA). Alongside our union siblings in SEIU Local 99 and AALA/Teamsters, we are preparing to take collective action in solidarity to fight for the schools our students deserve.
Together, our unions are standing up for:
Smaller class sizes
Increased staffing across campuses
More mental health and student support services
Stronger special education resources
Fair wages and dignified working conditions for all school employees
Greater investment in public education
UCLA Community School is part of the RFK Community of Schools, built to serve students in the historically underserved communities of Pico-Union and Koreatown. Our school was founded on the belief that every child deserves an excellent education rooted in equity, justice, and opportunity.
Beginning Tuesday, April 14, 2026, UTLA, SEIU Local 99, and AALA/Teamsters members may go on strike if LAUSD fails to settle fair contracts with our unions.
By participating in this labor action, thousands of educators and school workers will sacrifice pay in order to fight for lasting improvements in our schools. We do not make this decision lightly. We do this because we believe that every child deserves a fully staffed, fully resourced school—and every school worker deserves dignity, respect, and a livable wage.
At the RFK school complex alone, dozens of school workers will be financially impacted by this strike. Many of our SEIU members—including instructional aides, custodians, office staff, cafeteria workers, and campus support staff—live paycheck to paycheck and may struggle to afford missing work.
That is why we are asking our community, families, neighbors, and allies to contribute whatever they can.
Your donation will help:
Provide direct relief to impacted school workers
Support SEIU members facing lost wages
Ensure workers can remain on the picket line fighting for our students
No amount is too small. Every contribution helps keep our school community united and strong.
Please help us ensure that all UCLA Community School workers can stand shoulder-to-shoulder in this fight for justice.
Together, we can build the schools Los Angeles students deserve.
Thank you for your solidarity and support.
In solidarity,
UTLA UCLA Community School Educators
