With every year, the UC Davis Triathlon Club Team becomes a place to foster community between returning and new members. Through our community, teammates learn more about this multi-faceted sport, not only through Coach John, but from peers as well. Swimmers teach optimal technique, cyclists give tips on cornering and drafting, and runners share their warm-up routine. Beyond that, we continue to fall in love with the sport and the family that comes with it.

By the time the race season begins in February, the collaboration between members has transformed each teammate into a triathlete while building last bonds along the way.

This spring, our team has the chance to show our commitment to training in all three disciplines at the Collegiate Triathlon National Championships across the country in Gulfport, Mississippi. Triathlon is an inherently expensive sport, but our goal as a team is to minimize that cost and make the sport as accessible as possible. One main way we do that is by fundraising to reduce the cost of travel, giving every athlete a more equal opportunity to showcase the hours of training they made time for (on top of their college coursework, extracurriculars, and other commitments). Your support will help cover rental cars, flights, AirBnBs, and more.
