I am starting to raise money to help pay for Tyson’s final round of service work training. For those of you who do not know I struggle with a condition, which my medical team is still working to diagnose. I experience episodes of partial consciousness where I am unable to move and only occasionally respond with a head nod. These episodes are random and last around three hours. I was previously diagnosed with POTS but my condition has progressed to what my medical team believes to be a functional neurological disorder. Tyson is almost through his first round of training where he has learned public access and advanced obedience. His final round of training will teach him all of his service work tasks, his main task being to go find help and bring someone back to me for medical assistance. The total of Tyson’s training comes out to right under $5000. Insurance does not cover any service animal expenses. I have already covered about $3000 out of pocket and I’m hoping to raise $1500! Tyson will also required a crash tested car kennel for safe transportation as he travels with me daily. The kennel I am hoping to purchase is $350 (this is one if the most affordable bands of crash tested crates). All money donated will go directly towards Tyson’s training and crash tested kennel. Thank you to anyone who is able to assist and most importantly thank you to my family and support system who has been there for me over these past 5 years as I learn to navigate life with this condition. I am blessed by the lord for giving me challenges that make me a stronger individual.
