We are Lakeisha James’ friends, and we are completely heartbroken by her passing from an aggressive form of breast cancer.

Lakeisha was truly one of a kind. She loved hard, gave freely, and always showed up for the people she cared about. She brought so much love, joy, and laughter into the lives of so many. Whether you were family by blood or family by love, Lakeisha cared for you deeply. She never thought twice about helping the people she loved, and losing her has left a hurt that words can barely explain.

Because that is who Lakeisha was, we wanted to come together and show that same love for Tyson and her family now. We created this fundraiser to help with the unexpected expenses they are facing during this incredibly hard time. Donations will go toward memorial costs, household bills, meals, and other immediate needs.

Any amount, no matter how small, will mean so much. More than anything, we hope this can help take a little of the weight off the family so they can have the time and space to grieve.

Her memorial service will be on May 8, 2026 - 11:00AM at Jefferson Funeral Chapel located at 5755 Castlewellan Dr., Alexandria, VA 22315.
