Help Us Honor Ty's Life and Support Lea
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tyrone “Ty” Raymond Kneller Jr., age 61, who left us on July 4, 2024. Ty was a beloved father, friend, and colleague who touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, and zest for life. We are raising funds to help cover the costs of his funeral and celebration of life, as well as to support my sister Lea during this difficult time for her stay in California.
Ty was born on February 6, 1963, in South Dakota and moved to California during his childhood. He graduated from Riverbank High School in 1981 and earned a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Sacramento State University. For the past 32 years, Ty dedicated his career to PG&E, where he rose to the position of Senior Manager of Distribution Standards and Work Methods. His colleagues knew him as a committed professional who poured his heart and soul into his work.
Ty was a man who loved life and welcomed everyone with a shot of tequila or his signature “Tyrone Special,” a twist on the classic Paloma. He was an avid cornhole player and always eager to try new things. Ty looked forward to retiring within the next year and fulfilling his dream of living in Mexico.
Why We Need Your Help:
We are seeking support to cover the costs of Ty's funeral and celebration of life. Additionally, we want to help my sister Lea, who is staying in California without pay to manage all the end-of-life arrangements and support our family during this time. Lea needs financial assistance to stay in California and continue handling these responsibilities.

Ty's warmth, generosity, and adventurous spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He is survived by his many lifelong friends, his beloved daughters Danielle and Lea, and his soon-to-arrive granddaughter, Sage Miranda.
