Hello Everyone,
My nephew Ty’ron Kuria’s life was cut short in senseless gun violence less than 10 feet from his home. This happened in broad daylight, witnessed by several people on a soccer field and caught on several home cameras. We had to literally watch him on camera getting shot and hitting the ground. I am his aunt, and if you ask anyone, we are a close family who always celebrated life with the happiest of moments. But on that day—Thursday, April 16th, 2026—I received a call no one ever wants to hear: “Sister, my baby’s been shot, get here.” I live two hours away in Tyler, and this happened in Wiley. I couldn’t get there fast enough, and by the time I arrived, he was gone. His mother lost her youngest born. His two big brothers lost their baby brother. Ty’ron will not be walking the stage he tried so hard to achieve next year. People pass every day, but it hits so much harder when it’s your own family. My sister is broken.
On top of this tragedy, my sister recently lost burial insurance for her children due to health issues and having to go to PRN. This has made the financial burden even heavier. At this time, I am asking for any help and support financially to help with burial costs. No amount is too small. We appreciate each and every one of you in advance. Please send continued prayers as well—they are needed.
