On December 22, 2025, our beloved Tyra Cook—a 47-year-old wife, mother and grandmother —was involved in a devastating car accident that changed her life in an instant.

Tyra was driving when another driver ran a red light and struck her on the driver’s side, slamming her vehicle into a traffic light pole. The impact was severe. She was pinned between the door and the airbag, trapped inside her car until EMS arrived and had to extract her. Due to the seriousness of her injuries, Tyra was airlifted by medivac to the hospital.

Since the accident, Tyra has been in and out of consciousness and is currently bedridden in the ICU. She has suffered multiple broken ribs, a punctured lung, and significant trauma. She is experiencing difficulty breathing, along with anxiety and emotional distress resulting from the accident.

Tyra will require an extended hospital stay, followed by transfer to a rehabilitation facility for physical therapy and continued recovery. This journey will be long and challenging.

In addition to the physical and emotional toll, Tyra has lost her vehicle in the crash and is unable to work. She is a hardworking woman who held both a full-time and part-time job to support her family. The sudden loss of income, combined with mounting medical bills and ongoing expenses, has placed a heavy financial burden on her and her family.
