As you may be aware, our friend Tyne Horvath has been battling breast cancer since September.
She has continued to work full time and used vacation time for her surgeries.
A few days ago, her 8 year old Weimaraner had some swelling in her left rear leg. It had increased dramatically by Monday evening (June 9) so she took Starr to the Mahoning County Medvet. Staff had guesses but no answers.
On Tuesday morning, 6/10, Starr saw her local vet for an xray. There was so much swelling. Nothing was clear on the rads.
She was given antibiotics, diuretics, and pain meds. She got progressively worse on Tuesday.
So, at 12:30 a.m. Starr went to Metropolitan Vet in Akron.
Starr will stay for a few days and hopefully have some answers.
As you know emergency vet visits are very expensive.
Tyne could use our help to get through all of this.
