Support Tylor's Recovery After a Devastating Accident

My name is Bridget Navarro, and I created this GoFundMe for my nephew Tylor and his father, Mike. After Tylor’s devastating car accident on Thanksgiving, our family is focused on supporting his long recovery. This fundraiser will help cover the medical, travel, and rehabilitation expenses they face. Please see all the details below.

On Thanksgiving, our family’s world was turned upside down when my nephew, Tylor, was involved in a horrific car accident. While we are incredibly grateful that he survived, Tylor sustained severe, life-threatening injuries that will require a long and challenging recovery process.

Tylor’s injuries include fractures to his neck, spine, all the ribs on his left side, his clavicle, and his scapula. Just yesterday, he underwent a successful three-hour surgery to fuse the vertebrae in his neck. This is only the beginning of what will be a lengthy journey involving extensive medical care, rehabilitation, and time to heal.

Tylor lives in Washington, and his father, Mike, flew there immediately upon hearing the news. Mike is staying at a nearby hotel to be by his son’s side and plans to remain there until Tylor is stable enough to transition into a rehabilitation program. As you can imagine, the costs for medical care, travel, accommodations, and missed work are already adding up and will continue to do so.

This heartbreaking accident has deeply affected not only our family but another family as well. The young woman driving the car is currently on life support. We ask that you keep her and her loved ones in your prayers, along with Tylor and our family.

How Your Contributions Will Help

After researching the costs associated with severe accidents and long-term recovery, we’ve found that a reasonable overall goal for Tylor’s situation would be between $75,000 and $100,000. This includes medical bills, rehabilitation expenses, travel and lodging for his father Mike, and other unexpected costs.

However, because we are still uncertain about the full extent of these expenses, we are starting with an initial goal of $15,000. This amount will help cover immediate needs, such as:

Medical Costs: Support for surgeries, hospital stays, and initial recovery expenses.

Travel and Lodging: Expenses for Mike to stay near Tylor and be by his side during this critical time.

Rehabilitation: Physical therapy and equipment to aid Tylor’s recovery.

Essential Living Expenses: Helping offset lost wages and other necessities as Mike remains away from work.
