Tyler is my only child, a 28-year-old with a bright future ahead of him. On Monday, January 26th, our lives changed in an instant when Tyler was hit by a car while walking in Staples, MN. He was rushed to the ICU at St. Cloud, the closest trauma center, where he is now fighting to recover. Our family has come together in Minnesota—my niece lives in Staples, and my uncle, aunt, and cousins are in St. Cloud. My dad and stepmom are in Woodbury, where I grew up before moving to Tennessee 23 years ago. Having family nearby has been a blessing, but the distance from home makes this journey even more challenging.

My husband Jeremy and I are committed to being by Tyler’s side every step of the way. This means frequent travel between Tennessee and Minnesota, time away from work, and many unexpected expenses. Tyler’s recovery will be a long road—doctors estimate it could take six months to a year or more. We are doing everything we can to support him, and a CaringBridge site has been set up with the help of Tyler’s local community to keep everyone updated on his progress. We are covering Tyler and his medical team in prayer, trusting in hope and the strength of our loved ones.
