Hello family,friends and everyone,

We Dan and Dawn Clark are writing this on behalf of our son Tyler. Please take a few minutes and read this. We would really appreciate it. Thank you.

As some of you know our son has dealt with health issues since he was a young child and now into adulthood. He has been through so much in his life and is going through a health issue right now. Let me start in the beginning first so you can understand what he has been through. At the age of 9. Tyler got extremely sick and we almost lost him, we found out he was a diabetic. Most people when they are diagnosed as a diabetic they still have some of their pancreas working, Tyler had none. He/We spent a good amount of time in the hospital at Children's hospital to get his diabetes under control and him healthier. After that there were tons of appointments to help us to learn all about it and to navigate through what would be a life long journey. As years went by there were lots of challenges trying to get things under control the best we could. He was in and out of the hospital at times due to complications from diabetes. Being a diabetic is a roller coaster, this illness has a mind of its own. At the age of 18 the doctors found a softball tumor attached to his pancreas, they said he must of been born with it and it was the cause of his pancreas to stop working and caused him to become a diabetic. Tyler had to have a major long surgery called the Whipple, he is the youngest person to ever have this surgery the doctors told us. They had to remove alot of things that the tumor was attached to besides his pancreas. We lived at Froedterd for awhile. The recovery was long rough and hard on Tyler. He was on a feeding tube and j tube for along time. He couldn't have anything by mouth. Having the Whipple has affected Tyler's body by him dropping alot of weight and he can't gain weight till this day. His body is malnourished due to it. He has to take a medication called zenpep every time he eats now so he can get some of the nutrients and vitamins that our bodies need. We are so thankful and blessed though that his tumor was benign. Then as Tyler was at the end of his recovery from the surgery, he started to have uncontrollable movements. Tyler was back in the hospital. The local doctors there tried everything they could think of to figure things out but they had no idea because they had never seen this before. The doctors tried anti seizure meds and other things but nothing was working. We ended up having to be medically flown to the Mayo Clinic. We lived at the hospital for along time. Tyler went through alot during that time. What Tyler was going through was extremely rare and they ended up figuring things out. After everything else he ended up having to do plasma transfusions, which they do it through the neck. When we were able to go home we had to go so often for awhile for follow up appointments. We are so thankful to the Mayo Clinic for figuring things out and taken great care of our son. Now we come to the current battles Tyler is facing. Due to diabetes it has affected his eyes and he is getting injections and laser treatments in his eyes. Also Tyler has neuropathy in his feet due to diabetes so he doesn't feel his feet as well as your supposed to. On January 7th Tyler got 3rd degree burns on his left foot/toes. He is being seen and treated by a burn clinic hospital in Milwaukee. In the beginning it was weekly appointments then it went to every 2 weeks appointments. I have been going over to his house and doing his wound care every day. He does heal slower due to being a diabetic and being malnourished. Some areas are healing up and some areas are not. The doctor talked about skin grafting on one of his toes and amputation of another toe because its not healing and is black, but the doctor said before we do anything lets give it some time to see how much the areas will heal up. Well on March 19th when we were at his appointment the doctor said after this long now amputation is a must and we can give the other areas some more time before we do skin grafting. April 10th is surgery day. Due to all this Tyler hasn't been able to work and we dont know when he will be able to go back to work. I his mom and his dad are reaching out and asking for help for our son because we know Tyler isn't one to ask for help, he just deals with things. We as his parents are doing our best to help him financially with bills, medications and just in general with things as best as we can while taken care of our stuff too. We don't want Tyler to worry and be stressed out about that stuff and we just want him to focus on his health and healing and recovery. Our son is a very sweet and caring and loving young man and it breaks our hearts that he has been through so much. So on behalf of our son Tyler we his parents are reaching out to you all to ask for your help please. You can help by sharing this, donating and most importantly please keep Tyler in your prayers.

Thank you so very much in advance for all your help. God Bless.
