Hi, my name is Jeanine (Aunt Gigi!), and I’m starting this GoFundMe for my nephew, Tyler.

Tyler is 25 years old and a devoted fifth-grade teacher with the Olathe School District. Teaching isn’t just his job—it’s truly his passion! He pours his heart into his students every single day and takes pride in being a steady, encouraging presence in their lives.

Just one week ago, Tyler was diagnosed with advanced-stage high-grade B-cell lymphoma. He will begin chemotherapy on February 12 and is expected to complete six cycles of treatment by the end of June. While his doctors are optimistic and his cancer is highly responsive to treatment, this journey will come with challenges—especially as treatment progresses.

Tyler is determined to stay strong and hopeful, and he’s doing everything he can to continue being himself through it all—even holding onto the hope of participating in summer camp this year if his health allows. As he focuses on healing, he will still face the normal stresses and everyday expenses of life, now layered with the uncertainty that comes with cancer treatment.
