My name is Harmony Lopez. I am starting this fundraiser in hopes to help support my brother Tyler and his family while he undergoes extensive back surgery due to a complex autoimmune disease called Ankylosing Spondylitis.

Tyler is such an amazing husband and father, and such a hard worker. He has had AS since he was a teenager, and over the years, his spine has fused together, causing extreme discomfort and distress. His upper back is currently fused to the point that it is at a 90-degree angle, and he cannot even lie down comfortably. In 2023, he underwent hip replacement surgery with great success. We were all amazed and thrilled with his recovery from that surgery.

This back surgery will be much more intense and involved. He will have to take time off from work, and his recovery will be intense. They are going to be cutting into his spine to undo the fusion the AS has caused. He will have metal rods placed on each side of his spine to hold it in place, upright. He will have to do physical therapy. Without his income, his family will be in a much harder spot. I am hoping this fundraiser can help alleviate some of the financial burden from his family, especially as the holidays are approaching. His surgery is scheduled for December 8th, and I would love to see our friends and family rally with support for my brother
