Support Tyler Meyer's Road to Recovery
My name is Donna Meyer and I have set up this GoFundMe on behalf of Tyler Meyer.
Tyler Meyer now lives in Marshall, MN but grew up and attended school in Glencoe, MN before transferring to Lakeview High School in Cottonwood, MN. He was a graduate of the Class of 2004.
On Friday, May 31, 2024, Tyler was critically injured when he hit a deer while riding a motorcycle near Clarkfield, MN.
After initially being transported to Avera Medical Group-Granite Falls, he was airlifted to Avera McKennon Emergency and Trauma Hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. Tyler suffered a skull fracture/traumatic brain injury as well as multiple lacerations and abrasions but no other broken bones. His family is forever grateful to his friends who were there for him immediately, the first responders on scene, Granite Falls ER staff, the air transport team, and Avera McKennon Emergency, Radiology, Neurology, and ICU physicians, nurses, and techs for the care he received. It is no small miracle that he is still with us and we are hopeful those early interventions will provide a more positive outcome for his future.
His team of physicians have outlined a care plan that requires 24/7 at home care for the foreseeable future. He is also facing future medical needs that at this time are unknown because his road to recovery may be very long. Tyler is an over-the-road truck driver and due to his injuries, he is no longer able to drive anything for the foreseeable future and thus he has no current income.
This GoFundMe page was set up by family and friends to assist Tyler with his medical expenses. All funds collected will go directly to an account dedicated and managed for that purpose.
If you would like to contribute to Tyler, your contributions are very much appreciated.
Please keep Tyler in your thoughts and prayers.
Thank you.
