7.14 UPDATE:

We recently found out that the life insurance policy will not be covering the funeral expenses, as the listed beneficiary is Tyler and Alyssa’s youngest brother, who is a minor. Unfortunately, this means the funds cannot be used toward any of the costs they’re currently facing.

My wonderful, beautiful, and endlessly loving childhood best friend, Tyler Jay, and his sister Alyssa, lost their dad yesterday on his 50th birthday very unexpectedly. Being the oldest child, Tyler is now in charge of making arrangements for everything and is understandably very overwhelmed with the process of doing so and the financial aspect of giving his dad the honor that he deserves.
