Our family recently received news that no one is ever prepared for. My brother, Tyler Finley, who is only 36 years old, has been diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma.

Tyler will begin six rounds of chemotherapy starting April 27, fighting stage two Lymphoma. Each treatment will be three weeks apart for almost five total months of treatment.

Tyler and his wife have already faced the kind of heartbreak no family should ever have to endure. A few years ago they lost her young son Will to cancer just before his third birthday. Losing a child changes a family forever, and Will shall always be part of their story.

Today they are raising 11-year-old Wes, and recently welcomed their beautiful baby boy Link, who is now four months old.

There’s nothing that breaks your heart quite like watching your brother hold his four-month-old baby and realizing all the questions and possibilities that now sit in front of him. Cancer has a way of forcing families to face things no one is ever prepared for.

Tyler and his wife have already had to walk through cancer once before, and the reality of facing it again for their new family is terrifying. They are both incredibly strong, but no one should have to carry something like this alone.

Tyler has been working to build his own business so he can provide for his family, but chemotherapy will make working unpredictable for a while.

Our family isn’t one that typically asks for help, but right now we want Tyler focusing on healing, treatment, and being present with his family, instead of worrying about how everything will get paid.
