Hi everyone,

My name is Kelsey, and I am organizing this fundraiser for my fiancé, Tyler Felts. Recently, our world was turned upside down when Tyler suffered a life-threatening infection that nearly took him from us.

Tyler spent over two agonizing weeks in the hospital fighting for his life. During that time, he had to undergo multiple major surgeries to treat the infection. It was absolutely terrifying, and we are incredibly lucky and grateful that he survived.

While Tyler is finally home, he has a very long and hard recovery ahead of him. He currently requires the care of a home health nurse and will eventually need extensive physical therapy to regain his strength once his surgical wounds have healed.

Tyler is our family's sole provider. He has already been out of work for almost a month, and his doctors have made it clear that he will not be cleared to return to work for a few more months. Without his income, we are completely underwater. We are unable to cover our basic living expenses—we are struggling to pay our bills, buy groceries, and even afford food for our two dogs and four cats who depend on us.

We are asking for donations to help us survive this incredibly difficult time. The funds raised will go directly toward:

* Keeping a roof over our heads and the lights on (rent and utilities)

* Groceries and household necessities

* Pet food for our 6 animals

* Medical bills and ongoing care costs for Tyler’s recovery.
