Many of you asked me to create a GoFundMe. It honestly wasn’t something I planned on doing, but after receiving so many requests from people wanting a way to support us, I decided to create one. My hope is to turn this unexpected moment into something positive. A portion of the donations will go directly to Melissa, whose kindness and compassion during this experience touched so many people. My plan is to surprise her and personally thank her on my way to Florida when I take my girls back home. The remaining funds will help support my family and allow me to continue advocating for more family restrooms through my petition and awareness efforts. My goal has never been to profit from what happened—it’s to use this platform to create meaningful change so other parents don’t have to face the same situation.
