Support Tyla's Journey to Finish Her ADU

Hi everyone,

My name is Tyla and I'm here asking for help from family, friends, strangers, and in-between to assist me with completing my Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) in LA County. Just a Black girlie pop with a dream!

In early 2020, my granny passed away from ALS (Lou-Gehrig Disease). Before her unfortunate passing, she did everything she could to ensure our family was able to keep her home in our family.

With the inheritance of her home, came the idea to renovate her garage space into an ADU (a small home) for me and boy has it been a journey as some of you may have seen!

A four-year process essentially is on the cusp of ending, but I seriously need help finishing out some of the things that will make the space complete!

As we all know - everything is E X P E N S I V E! Not sure what I was thinking when I got into this, but it's too late to turn back now.

Full transparency, I've been extremely overwhelmed by the final expenses it'll take to complete my project and I could use the help. I'm trying my best to knock out some of the expenses myself, but it has been a bit of a pile-up and there's only so much debt I'm willing to take on :(.

I would like to raise funds to help finish out the final pieces of this 4-year puzzle!

I know times are hard, but if I don't ask - I'll never know the answer. If it's put on your spirit to donate, I'd truly appreciate it. I'm truly only asking because I don't want to further put myself into debt to be fully transparent.
