Music has been my blueprint for care and community. For 20 years, I’ve fiercely shown up for the scene and its integrity without hesitation. Now, I’m allowing myself to ask for that same care in return. As I step more fully into myself, both spiritually and physically, I’m inviting you to stand with me during this pivotal moment of supporting my top surgery. This is more than a procedure — it’s about coming home to myself after a lifetime of dysphoria and disconnection.

For many years, I didn’t have access to a support network, nor the safety to be public about my transition. That lack of support and hyper visibility deeply impacted my ability to fully meet and embrace my transness. The past two years have opened something profound for me — especially with the beginning of my medical transition. For the first time, I’m no longer putting myself on pause. I’m choosing myself over society’s expectations, and that choice has been equally terrifying and liberating.

I’m grateful to share that I have a surgery date set for this January. However, there are many costs associated, especially when we take into consideration recovery time, time off as a touring artist since my job requires a significant amount of physical labour, and the cost of living in New York. Due to the significant decrease in the bookings and the reduced booking fees I now receive post transition, I am without the necessary funds required for post op care. That’s where community comes in. Funds will help cover my rent, daily expenses, groceries, a medical recovery care package, and utility bills while I heal and am unable to work.
