Just a quick update! Tye is back in the US, thankfully, and will hopefully be able to receive better care. She was just admitted to the hospital in Houston to help mitigate the ongoing infections. Wanted to also share a photo of her near her happy garden at the AFS barracks entrance:)

Many of you know that our dear friend Tye has undergone emergency surgery to stop internal bleeding and is in critical care in a hospital in the Dominican Republic. Initially the doctors were not optimistic that she would survive the surgery or recover from the infection in her body; but she keeps fighting and defying all odds. Tye is now on a very tenuous path to recovery.

 

Her family is with her now and beyond grateful for the outpouring of love and prayers they have received from so many of her dear friends. The are prepared to do everything to make sure she continues to get the care she needs over the next few weeks until she is well enough to leave the hospital and come back home.

 

As you can imagine, this is a very stressful situation, and the medical bills are piling up. There is a lot of uncertainty of course, but please consider a small donation to help relieve the family of some stress if you can. Everyone understands this is difficult times for a lot of folks, but even a little help will go a long way to ease some of the burden. Even so, please continue to send your healing vibes her way and give your floofers extra belly rubs on her behalf.
