For most seniors, the final year of high school is filled with memories they’ll carry forever. For Tyce Svoboda that meant making one of the hardest decisions of his life.

When his family had to relocate to Tennessee, he chose to stay behind and move in with his grandparents so he could finish his senior year at the school he loves, remain with his lifelong friends, and play one last season of the sport that has shaped so much of who he is—ice hockey.

Hockey has been more than just a game. It has taught him discipline, teamwork, perseverance, and has given him a second family. Walking away before his senior season simply isn’t an option.

Living away from his parents comes with sacrifices, and the costs of a hockey season—including league fees, equipment, travel, and team expenses—add up quickly. We are asking for the support of our community to help make sure financial circumstances don’t stand in the way of him finishing what he started.
