Hi, my name is Twyla, and I need your help to ship 200 pairs of sneakers to Chicago so that underserved kids can play sports.

I'm a high school athlete, and I believe that every kid deserves to play sports safely. I discovered recently that so many kids in underserved communities lack proper footwear to do so.

My siblings and I go through many pairs of athletic sneakers and soccer cleats each year, and I know other families do the same. That’s why I created the ReRun sneaker drive. I started by collecting gently used athletic shoes at my high school and then expanded into the community. I set up donation boxes at local businesses, set up a table at the farmers market, and organized a sneaker pickup-service. Thanks to everyone’s generosity, I’ve collected over 200 pairs of shoes. That's worth approximately $15,000.

The next step is getting these shoes to Share Your Soles, a nonprofit in Chicago that will distribute them to people in need. My parents and I found a freight delivery service that can transport all the shoes on a pallet for $680. All I need now is your help covering the shipping costs. Any donation, big or small, will help me get these shoes to the people who need them most.
