Two Littlejohn Families one need Fire recovery

Donation protected
On the evening of Wednesday April 8th, there was a fire on Fisk Ave in DeKalb at an apartment complex.  It was brought to my attention that there was two families that their children go and will be going to Littlejohn Elementary.  Two first grade boys and one 3rd grade girl.  One family just moved to our community just weeks prior to the fire from Kentucky.  Both families have lost everything. Now imagine how your littles are feeling right now during this covid-19 crisis.  They are away from their friends, teachers and their normal routines. Many feeling anxious and unsure what is going on around them. Then imagine the unimaginable they loose everything that is familiar and comforting from their home and in one family in a new area without extra family and friends??  I can not fathom!  Since we are not in school right now and what we would normally be able to do for our friends. I am reaching out to start a fund to split equally between the two families to help them get back on their feet.  I know and realize that times are tough right now but even $5 helps! If you can not help please share to get the word out to the community.  I would love to show these families why Littlejohn is so awesome and what #onebarb and #proudlydekalb means!!  I am sure that they will be humbled and appreciate the local support during this rough time for both families! Thank you!
