Help Two Brothers Detained by ICE

On the morning of May 22, two beloved brothers in our community were unjustly detained by ICE. One was taken on his way to work. The other was taken shortly after dropping his young daughter off at school.

These men had no outstanding warrants, no removal orders, and have lived peaceful, hardworking lives. They were targeted simply for being immigrants. The suddenness and cruelty of their detention has left their families—and all of us who love them—devastated and scrambling for support.

At this time, the families have requested privacy and we are honoring that by not releasing names. What we can share is that these are fathers, sons, brothers, and vital members of our community.

We are raising funds to help with:

• Legal representation and court fees

• Food and commissary for the detainees

• Visitation travel and gas costs

• Household bills that are now at risk of falling behind due to their sudden detention

We don’t know what the outcome will be, especially in today’s political climate. But we do know that we won’t sit back while this family suffers alone. Every donation—no matter how small—brings hope and helps lighten this burden.

Ayuda para Dos Hermanos Detenidos por ICE

En la mañana del 22 de mayo, dos queridos hermanos de nuestra comunidad fueron injustamente detenidos por ICE. Uno fue detenido camino al trabajo. El otro fue detenido después de dejar a su hija en la escuela.

Estos hombres no tenían órdenes de arresto ni órdenes de deportación. Han llevado vidas tranquilas y trabajadoras. Fueron apuntados simplemente por ser inmigrantes. La rapidez y crueldad de su detención ha dejado a sus familias—y a todos los que los queremos—devastados y buscando apoyo urgente.

Por ahora, y por solicitud de sus familias, estamos reservando sus nombres para proteger su privacidad. Lo que sí podemos decir es que son padres, hijos, hermanos y pilares fundamentales de nuestra comunidad.

Estamos recaudando fondos para ayudar con:

• Representación legal y costos de corte

• Alimentos y artículos básicos para los detenidos

• Gastos de transporte y gasolina para las visitas

• Facturas del hogar que están en riesgo debido a su detención repentina

No sabemos cuál será el resultado, especialmente en el clima político actual. Pero sí sabemos que no podemos quedarnos de brazos cruzados mientras esta familia sufre sola. Cada donación—por pequeña que sea—trae esperanza y alivia esta carga.
