December is Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome Awareness Month.
Shortly after finding out I was pregnant with twins, we were immediately referred to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Fetal Care Center in February of 2023 for stage 3 TTTS.
The progression of TTTS can be very fast and sudden. Due to the early gestational age of the twins, and the stage of TTTS we were already at, we did not have a high chances of bringing both babies home with us at the end of the pregnancy. Cincinnati’s Fetal Care center was able to give both girls a fighting chance to make it to us due to their advanced treatments for TTTS.
In honor of raising awareness for TTTS, our family would like to give back to the physicians that helped us during this process.
These physicians specializes in treating and monitoring Twin to Twin Transfusion Syndrome (TTTS), Twin Anemia-Polycythemia Sequence (TAPS), Selective Intrauterine Growth Restriction (SIUGR), and Twin Reverse Arterial Perfusion (TRAP).
We are so thankful for the dedication of the Fetal Care Center at Cincinnati and together we would like to raise $1,000 to help support them with their developing research for treating TTTS, TAPS, SIURG, and TRAP.
