Support Twin Cities Black Artists

Hi Community!

Minnesota Hip Hop Collective is fundraising to train at 36 Chambers of Stylez in Brooklyn, New York from July 14th to July 25th. During this trip, we will be learning from the OG's and pioneers of hip hop.

With it being New York and the span of two weeks, as you can imagine, we need support from our community! :)

This fundraiser will also contribute to training opportunities in Chicago for the ReVeal choreography convention, Red Bull Dance Your Style World Final in Los Angeles, CA, and more!

So a little bit about us!

We are a collective of black dancers embedded in hip hop culture based in the Twin Cities. We are passionately trained across a full range of styles, including popping, locking, house, krump, litefeet, freestyle and choreography.

Individually, we bring our own background and approach to this movement and community, but we are united by a deep respect for the art and its pioneers.

Whether we're in battles, cyphers, on stage, or in the studio, we focus on growth, creativity, and contributing to the movement. We don't just rep this culture; we live it.

You can find us teaching at dance studios across the Metro, including Hothouse Dance Studio, House of Dance Twin Cities, and Young Dance.

Tuition (12 days of training in 3+ styles) $850 x 9 people = $7,650

Groceries

3 meals/day ($150/wk) $450 x 9 = $4,050

Airbnb Lodging

14 day stay (7/14-7/25) $1,470 x 9 = $13,230

Round Trip Flight

Delta airline flight (current average price): $369 x 9 = $3,321

Transportation (stipend for public transportation & Uber/Lyft)

$450 x 9 = $4,050

Total Cost: $28,251
