Update: Tutu passed away on Friday night, April 18, 2025. She was born with an autoimmune disease that caused chronic kidney disease. After her transplant, she enjoyed many years of her wonderful life. Unfortunately, years of immunosuppresant drugs caused complications and she was diagnose with stage 4 lymphoma. It was too agressive to treat.

We are waiting for the funeral home to complete arrangements. Once we have more information, we will let everyone know.

Tutu was a beloved friend and an incredible soul and was a beacon of light to those around her. She was a fighter and a compassionate business owner. She poured her heart into her nail salon on Melrose Ave and it was more than business—it was a place of friendship, creativity, connection, and community.

She was hospitalized for two months and 3 weeks and passed away on Friday night April 18, 2025.

Friends and family have been asking if they can contribute. Many thanks to her friends for helping me create this fundraiser. Your donations will pay for her expenses and funeral costs.
