Hi Everyone, 3 weeks ago, Turkey girl went in for a bilateral mastectomy. Within a few days, her stitches popped and we were back at the vets. This time they stapled her up and within a couple of days, the stitches popped open leaving a gaping wound. After 10 days of an open wound not closing at all, they decided it was best to keep Turkey at the Vet for 7 days to help it heal safely by keeping her contained and try a new method to help close her wound.
The reason her wound isn't healing properly is because, unfortunately, Turkey has an aggressive cancer. There are options we will look for in the future to see if she will be able to do radiation or chemotherapy. In the meantime, as many of you know, I own a hair salon and if I'm not at work, I don't make money. I have had to take several days and this whole ordeal has put a giant financial stress on me. You all know that Turkey is my world and I would do everything and anything to help her. If you can, please donate, anything helps. My love and gratitude are immense. I appreciate you all and I know Turkey girl does too.
