Help Tuli Get the Care & Legal Protection She Needs
This fundraiser exists because a dog is stuck paying the price for a human dispute.
Tuli is a German Shepherd who came out of a rescue-only shelter situation with significant behavioral challenges. She was never spayed, was left intact for years, and has experienced prolonged instability despite extended time in “training” placements.
When her situation became unsafe, we stepped in — as we do for many dogs each year — to stabilize, manage behavior, and advocate for responsible placement.
Unfortunately, due to ongoing ownership claims, harassment, and legal threats by a third party, partner rescues that were prepared to help have been forced to step back. When legal uncertainty exists, rescues cannot intake a dog, even when the need is urgent.
As a result, Tuli is now in limbo.
What this means in real terms:
• Daily care, housing, and structured management
• Ongoing professional training and behavioral rehabilitation
• Veterinary care, including a necessary spay
• And now attorney consultation fees, required solely to stop harassment and resolve ownership claims so Tuli can move forward into rescue or adoption
This is the side of rescue work that rarely gets discussed: when conflict, control issues, and legal threats interfere, the dog suffers — and the financial burden falls on the people trying to help.
We work with dogs 365 days a year, often absorbing costs quietly. In this case, the combination of prolonged care and unavoidable legal expenses makes outside support necessary.
Funds raised will go directly toward:
• Tuli’s care, housing, and training
• Veterinary expenses, including spay
• Legal consultation to protect her placement pathway and stop ongoing interference
This fundraiser is not about drama. It’s about harm control, safety, and giving a difficult dog a fair chance at a stable future.
If you believe dogs deserve better than the chaos humans sometimes create, we appreciate your support — whether through a donation or simply sharing this campaign.
Thank you for standing with the dogs when things get complicated.
