About Oak Astrology School:
Oak Astrology School develops astrologers to become leaders of support within their communities. In learning the wisdom tradition of astrology, students are guided through the art self empowerment and cultivate knowledge that addresses all aspects of the life cycle; altruistic understanding of the human condition, the necessary processes of personal development and the transmutation of hardship, especially as it relates to the larger sociopolitical sphere. Oak describes astrology as a medium that effectively navigates the personal, social, emotional, universal and ancestral. Through rigorous study and dedication to personal work, a well versed astrologer often holds the role a philosopher, healer, writer, time keeper and counselor.
Oak Astrology School focuses on teaching astrology from the lens of healing, counseling and using astrology as a tool for liberation. This work powerfully supports processes of social justice and cultivating personal sovereignty. As the media and sociopolitical structures are often set against marginalized peoples, a common experience that former students affirm is the life changing and healing influences that this craft has given them. The holistic system of astrology encourages full agency in soul-centered awareness and decision making which directly defies the social conditioning of worth imposed on the marginalized.
In elevating skilled astrologers who are actively doing their soul work, it creates a ripple effect in our communities and personal relations.
Most of the students that come through the programs at Oak Astrology School are therapists, social workers and healing practitioners that want to deepen their capacity to create powerful impact with their work. Because astrology is able to address the microcosm and macrocosm of experience, it is a wisdom tradition that is continually fluid in its application.
Why Astrology Matters:
Astrology is a tool for liberation
The importance of re-rooting: Colonization effectively disrupts inherent connection to ones original culture and identity which is reinforced through white centered social political constructs. Astrology leads the individual to a deeper sense of home and identity. This is powerful for anyone with a Queer, Trans and BIPOC experience, as it centers the individual in the context of their own personal-social experience
Building deeper connections: Within the process of study occurs deep healing and development of personal sovereignty. More understanding creates access to a deeper sense of self and ultimately more capacity for interconnectivity.
Mental health is stigmatized and not prioritized in communities of color: While astrology is not the same as therapy, it’s overall impact leads to the similar breakthroughs at an accelerated rate.
The pathway to fuller embodiment: The sky, as pure reflection, offers the individual a clear, organized and detailed framework to personal clarity. This will always lead to greater success, alignment and the pathway to healing.

Access to healing and education was the primary roadblock for me to continually grow and excel in my studies. I can never speak about my achievements without acknowledging that many of my opportunities came from mentors that saw potential in me and wanted to pay it forward. These immensely heart-warming acts inform the culture of my school and the ways that I engage with spiritual practice. The impact that astrology and my gracious mentors has had on me fully changed my life and has given me the tools to heal myself and to move through life more gracefully, more powerfully, and more compassionately.
