On March 25th, the staff at The Korean Rose and Taegukgi Korean BBQ found out the businesses were shutting down effective immediately.

They were told the evening before that they would no longer have a job the next day. No heads up.

These places meant a lot to the community here in Tucson. So many events, meetups, and memories happened there—and that doesn’t happen without the people working behind the scenes.

The staff who showed up every day, helped run events, and made those spaces feel welcoming.

Now they’re dealing with losing their income overnight and trying to figure out what comes next.

This fundraiser is being organized by Lindsay Edwards, Kpop in Tucson organizer in coordination with former management to directly support the affected employees. Funds will be distributed by Mav Gaudet, former manager of The Korean Rose.

The Korean Rose has been the home to Kpop in Tucson's events over the last 6 months and we hope this fundraiser will give back to the staff that has provided us with amazing service and enthusiastic support.
