My brother was diagnosed with stage 2 testicular cancer in April of 2024. After two initial surgeries, he has just completed his 3rd round of aggressive chemotherapy. He is trying to maintain normal life and work as much as possible but the oppressive heat in June and July has made it unsafe for him to work most shifts. His employer has been wonderful and supportive during this process. Still, the weather and side effects of chemotherapy have made it impossible to keep a steady income to cover life expenses like bills and groceries.
