Support Tsehay Bekele's Family in Their Time of Loss

Dear Family, Friends, and Community Members,

We are in disbelief over the passing of our beloved sister, Tsehay Bekele, who left us today, Sunday, November 3, at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. She is survived by her husband, Surafel Worku Chernet; her two young daughters and son; her mother; and her sisters.

Tsehay bravely fought chronic illness for over a year, facing each day with courage and hope, until she peacefully returned to God. Her absence has left a profound void in the lives of her family, friends, and the St. Ourael Ethiopian Orthodox Tewahedo Church community, where she served as a member of the parish council. Known for her endless smile, cheerful spirit, kindness, and willingness to help others, she will be dearly missed by all of us who knew her close and far.

We are asking for your support to help ease the financial burden on her family during this difficult time, allowing them to focus on healing.
