Support T's Healing from Unknown Illness

Hi, I'm TQ.

My bestie T has been experiencing some strange and frightening challenges to their health. They have an as yet undiagnosed neurological condition that's left them with neuropathy throughout the right side of their body, severe muscle weakness, and chronic facial paralysis on one side of their face. Doctors have yet to discern what the cause and therefore the treatment might be. This condition has made it difficult for T to do the work they do for a living. Being a journalist requires sitting with things. Literally. Leading yoga classes requires both mobility and the ability to hold space. With this chronic pain, sitting, standing, laying down, and sometimes even the simplest movements are too much. Meanwhile, doctor bills and costs of holistic treatments which bring some relief are piling up. T is applying for disability assistance to begin, but the process of getting that help is not speedy. My friend needs help, so I’m reaching out to our community. If there is any way that you can financially contribute, it would be so appreciated.

What you’re contributing to: the health, comfort, removal of distress of a Queer, non-binary, badass who is a journalist, yoga and mindfulness teacher, massage therapist, dog and cat parent, and poet who just happens to be several amazing people’s best friend.

Our health care system is so broken, but in the Queer community, we take care of each other. Help a badass today. Pray, chant, send vibes, do something witchy. All of that matters. Your contribution will pay for existing medical bills and lost wages, upcoming medical care, and will help T pay the bills while they are unable to work.

And even if you just know me by reputation, you likely know that I also love to move, work, play, make things happen, and be alive in my body. If you know my work, you know I live for it.
